Exchange Connector
The e-BRIDGE® Open Platform
connector for Microsoft Exchange allows the MFP user
to scan a document and e-mail the document through
the Microsoft Exchange server.
As a result, the MFP user experience is seamlessly
integrated with Microsoft Outlook. Using the Open
Platform Connector, the MFP user can do the
following:
- Access the Outlook
Address Book.
- View sent e-mail from
the Outlook Sent folder.
- Save a scan to their
Outlook Drafts folder.
SharePoint Connector
The Microsoft SharePoint
Open Platform connector allows the MFP user to scan
a document deliver the document to a Microsoft
SharePoint destination. As a result, the MFP user
experience is seamlessly integrated with Microsoft
SharePoint.
With the e-BRIDGE® Open Platform connector for
Microsoft SharePoint, the MFP user can do the
following:
- Access Microsoft
SharePoint Lists.
- Enter data required by
SharePoint Fields

Toshiba’s e-BRIDGE
Open Platform Connectors for MS Exchange and
SharePoint has launched the newest version 2.2.
These Toshiba-developed connectors will provide
greater levels of third-party application
integration for Toshiba’s Open Platform-enabled MFPs.
The latest release adds features such as new server
support, scanning capabilities, and v2.0/2.1 users
can upgrade to v2.2. These connectors will continue
to meet customer needs for increasing office
productivity and efficiency and reducing overall
print management costs. Dealers and customers can
now look forward to an expansion of the Open
Platform portfolio of external application software
partners such as Drivve, Papercut, and ReRite.

Overview
The e-BRIDGE Open Platform connector for
Microsoft Exchange provides enhanced
integration between the e-BRIDGE MFP,
Microsoft Exchange and Microsoft Outlook.
Features
The e-BRIDGE Open Platform connector for
Microsoft Exchange allows the MFP user to
scan a document and then e-mail it through
the Microsoft Exchange server. As a result,
the MFP user experience is seamlessly
integrated with Microsoft Outlook. Using the
Open Platform Connector, the MFP user can
walk up to the MFP and access their Outlook
Address Book, save a scan to their Outlook
Drafts folder to be edited further at their
computer, and view e-mails sent from the MFP
in their Outlook Sent folder.
Requirements
The e-BRIDGE Open Platform
connector for Microsoft Exchange requires
Microsoft Exchange 2003 or Exchange 2007 The
Open Platform Connector for Microsoft
Exchange must be installed on a Windows
computer running Microsoft IIS (Internet
Information Services). For installations
where the connector will service 5 or less
MFP devices, this computer can be running
Microsoft Windows XP Professional SP3
(32-bit). A connector servicing more than
five MFP devices will require a computer
running Microsoft Windows Server 2003 SP2
(32-bit or 64-bit). In either case, the
connector cannot be installed on the
Microsoft Exchange server itself. The Open
Platform Connector for Microsoft Exchange
requires the External Interface Enabler to
be installed on the MFP |
