The History of G-I Office Technologies

The President of G-I Office Technologies, Gregg Tipple, built his first working copier at the age of 13, from hardware store parts and simple electrical wiring.

The copier still works. And Gregg continues to be totally fascinated by the technology.

G-I was founded in 1969 and Gregg came to work for the company in 1973. His wife, Janice, left her own business in 1980 to join Gregg.

Together they acquired full ownership by 1989, and built on the excellence of the existing staff. They assembled a team marked by a passion for strong customer support and technological excellence.

The Company grew in every way. In 1994, housed in an updated and expanded 17,000 square foot facility, its name was changed from G-I Supply to Graphic Interfaced Office Technologies to reflect worldwide changes in technology.

Today over 70% of the total G-I staff is employed in service and support of G-I's products. Over 60% of the staff have been with the company for over 10 years, and many over 15 years of service. With a wealth of knowledge like that to draw from, their support to you is second to none.

The passion for innovation and excellence continues. As G-I grows it remains poised on the brink of continual breakthroughs - dedicated to serving Madison and Southern Wisconsin.
